About Elli Furedy & Fail Factory
Elli Furedy is a transgender engineering polymath with ten years of experience across established and emerging tech. She spent over 10 years building Android apps with blockchain, AR/VR, and IoT integrations. She has worked at all scales, from skunkworks startup to publicly traded fintech. She is also a hardware hacker and the founder of Fail Factory, a boutique manufacturing space focused on hands-on innovation.
Elli is particularly interested in how technology can facilitate human interaction and improve real-world experiences. This focus has its roots in the internationally recognized research she helped lead in college at the University of Central Arkansas. The research focused on developing wearable tech to facilitate physical therapy through integrated gaming on mobile devices. Elli and her team were invited to present their research on stage at the global finals of Microsoft's Imagine Cup competition in 2012.
She applies a systematic approach to development, focusing on functionality and user impact. Her experience includes working with emerging technologies and navigating complex systems in both startup and corporate settings. With a background in both digital and physical prototyping, she continues to explore new applications of technology.
Fail Factory was born out of a desire to work independently at the edge of innovation—building tools, devices, and experiences that don't fit inside traditional workflows or agencies.

Our Values
Practical precision
We believe in getting things right by testing for failures. Every project is approached with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that both the technical execution and user experience meet the highest standards.
Creative autonomy
Innovation thrives when creators have the freedom to explore unconventional solutions. We champion independent thinking and provide the space for bold ideas to flourish without bureaucratic constraints.
Human-focused systems
Technology should enhance human capability, not replace it. We design systems that feel natural and intuitive, prioritizing user needs and real-world application over technical complexity for its own sake.
Open-source collaboration
The best solutions emerge from shared knowledge and collective effort. We contribute to and learn from the open-source community, believing that transparency and collaboration drive innovation forward.
